In general terms, it is an online merchandising web application that Zugara has termed Webcam Social Shopper (WSS). The application integrates augmented reality and motion capture technologies with social networking functionality to provide virtual fitting room capability to fashion retailers by turning consumers’ webcams into a real-time virtual mirror. With this technology, shoppers can “virtually” try the items they choose, getting a sense of style and how they would look. They can also capture their look on photos and share the images with friends on social networking websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
